Gardener – Luxury Hotel Grounds

About the role

Join a prestigious hotel estate in Ascot as a Gardener, responsible for maintaining a variety of beautifully landscaped areas. You will work outdoors, ensuring the grounds remain immaculate while developing your horticultural expertise within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform seasonal maintenance across terraced areas, rose garden, sunken garden, cottage garden, croquet lawn, lake, woodland, lawns and wildflower meadow.
• Maintain the polo centre and staff accommodation grounds.
• Carry out grass cutting, turf upkeep and hedge trimming.
• Operate garden machinery such as mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers safely.
• Take ownership of designated estate zones and keep relevant certificates up to date.
• Follow health, safety, fire and security procedures and support additional duties as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in horticulture or professional grounds maintenance.
• Proven ability to use a range of garden machinery safely.
• Passion for high‑quality outdoor environments and strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours to meet operational needs.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
