Gas Installation Planner (Coordinator)

About the role

We are looking for a Gas Installation Planner to join our Gas Installation Department on a full‑time basis. The role focuses on coordinating engineers, managing timesheets, ordering materials and ensuring jobs are ready for first‑visit completion. Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with agencies and subcontractors regarding timesheets and job details.
• Ensure all works issued have the necessary information and materials ordered for first‑visit completion.
• Raise orders for subcontractors and approve their timesheets.
• Process timesheets for payment and coordinate with the accounts department.
• Approve and process scaffolding invoices and maintain the in‑house scaffold register.
• Register newly installed gas appliances on relevant portals.
• Prepare invoicing packs and process purchase orders for future and same‑day jobs.
• Update the weekly planned work list and communicate it to clients.
• Manage outstanding purchase orders and monitor engineers’ diaries.
• Communicate next‑day job numbers to suppliers and handle order‑related emails.
• Support the installations department with ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in handling administrative duties and paperwork.
• Experience in a coordination or administrative role is preferred.
• Familiarity with the gas installation industry is advantageous but not required.
