About the role
The Gas Installation Planner will join the Gas Installation Department to ensure smooth coordination of engineers, subcontractors and material supplies. This full‑time position focuses on maintaining control, monitoring performance and delivering projects on the first visit.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with agencies and subcontractors regarding timesheets and job details.
- Verify that all works issued have the required information and materials ordered.
- Raise and approve orders for subcontractors, process timesheets for payment and liaise with the accounts department.
- Approve scaffolding invoices, maintain the scaffold register and send monthly updates to the client.
- Register newly installed gas appliances on relevant portals.
- Prepare invoicing packs, process purchase orders and manage in‑day orders.
- Update the weekly planned work list and inform clients.
- Monitor engineers’ diaries, communicate next‑day job numbers to suppliers and handle related email correspondence.
- Support the installations department with ad‑hoc administrative duties.
Required profile
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a coordination or administrative role is preferred.
- Familiarity with the gas installation industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
