About the role

Pearson Plc is seeking qualified examiners to mark GCE A Level Economics (2016 Specification) scripts. The role is performed remotely using the ePEN digital marking platform, with a small portion of paper‑based scripts handled by post.

Key responsibilities

• Mark candidates' responses accurately and consistently according to the predefined mark scheme.
• Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader by designated deadlines.
• Adhere to marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks.
• Participate in mandatory training (May‑June) and complete marking during the May‑July period.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years, preferably in the relevant subject.
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum one year of undergraduate‑level teaching experience within the last three years.
• High level of subject knowledge in Economics to apply the mark scheme.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
