About the role

Pearson is seeking a qualified History teacher to work as a GCE A Level History Examiner (2016 Specification). The role is full‑time, remote, and involves marking candidates' scripts to ensure consistent standards across the qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Mark GCE A Level History scripts using the 2016 specification mark scheme, primarily via the ePEN online system.
• Apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently while adhering to examination regulations.
• Submit marking samples to the Team Leader according to the designated schedule.
• Meet marking milestones and complete all required administrative tasks on time.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of recent teaching experience (within the last 8 years) in History.
• Qualified teacher status and a relevant degree.
• High level of subject knowledge of the 2016 GCE A Level History specification.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ePEN marking platform.
