About the role
Pearson Plc is seeking qualified teachers to work as GCE A Level Physics examiners (2016 Specification). The role is fully remote, allowing you to mark candidates' responses from home using the ePEN platform.
Key responsibilities
- Mark physics exam scripts accurately according to the pre‑defined mark scheme.
- Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader by the scheduled deadlines.
- Adhere to all marking milestones and complete required administrative tasks.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions between May and June.
Required profile
- At least one academic year of recent teaching experience (within the last 8 years) in physics.
- Qualified teacher status with a relevant degree or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme consistently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the ePEN marking platform.
