GCP Infrastructure Engineer – Security Cleared (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for two security‑cleared GCP Infrastructure Engineers to join a high‑profile programme delivering and supporting cloud infrastructure in a secure environment. The role starts in September and offers a largely remote working arrangement with a daily rate of £500‑£550 inside IR35.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure within GCP.
• Develop and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Automate operational processes using Python.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Support platform reliability, scalability and security.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering and delivery teams to improve cloud services.
• Contribute to infrastructure standards, governance and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven expertise with Terraform.
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills.
• Experience delivering infrastructure in a DevOps environment.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Background in infrastructure, platform engineering or cloud engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Active Security Clearance (SC) required.
