GCSE English Literature & Language Tutor – Altrincham

About the role

We are seeking experienced GCSE English Literature and Language tutors to deliver face‑to‑face sessions at our Altrincham centre. The role involves supporting small groups of up to eight students during evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging GCSE English Literature and Language lessons for groups of up to eight pupils.
• Provide constructive feedback and track student progress.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
• Adhere to scheduled session times (weekdays 5‑8 pm, weekends 10 am‑4 pm).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and PGCE or QTS qualification.
• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE English Literature and/or Language in UK mainstream schools.
• Enhanced DBS check and enrolment on the DBS update service.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Lesson planning and delivery for GCSE English.
• Providing clear written and verbal feedback.
• Understanding of UK safeguarding and DBS procedures.
