GCSE English & Maths Tutor – Chester

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic GCSE English and Maths tutors to work with secondary‑aged learners in Chester. You will provide one‑to‑one tuition that helps students close knowledge gaps, build confidence and improve their predicted grades ahead of their GCSE examinations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 lessons in English and/or Maths.
- Assess individual learner needs and tailor support accordingly.
- Track progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximise outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions and student achievement.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent preferred.
- Strong curriculum knowledge and excellent communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional child‑related references.
