GCSE English & Maths Tutor

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic GCSE English and Maths tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for secondary‑aged learners in Sefton. You will help students improve their attainment, prepare for examinations and build confidence in both subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised 1:1 tuition in English and/or Maths.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit each learner’s needs.
• Support students in exam preparation and confidence building.
• Maintain accurate records of progress and attendance.

Required profile

• Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths.
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification (preferred).
• Excellent curriculum knowledge.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.
