GCSE Maths Teacher – Full‑Time in Chichester

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic GCSE Maths Teacher to join our team in Chichester. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality lessons, inspire confidence and help learners achieve strong results in their GCSE examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE Maths lessons in line with curriculum and exam board specifications.
• Assess learner progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Run revision sessions and targeted interventions to prepare students for GCSE exams.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse abilities and learning styles.
• Maintain accurate attendance and achievement records in accordance with college policies.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues and student support teams to ensure holistic learner support.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 DET) or willingness to obtain one.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE Maths in a school, FE college or adult learning setting.
• Strong knowledge of current GCSE Maths curriculum and exam board specifications.
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom‑management abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusive practice.
