About the role
We are looking for a GCSE Science Tutor to deliver engaging tuition across Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students in Stratford, London. The role is part‑time and temporary, offering flexible hours to support learners preparing for their GCSE exams.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging tuition across GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics).
- Consolidate KS3 knowledge while introducing key GCSE concepts to strengthen exam preparation.
- Personalise lesson plans to target gaps in understanding and build learner confidence.
- Support students with SEN by adapting teaching methods to ensure accessibility and motivation.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year tutoring or teaching experience in Science at KS3/GCSE level.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
- Desired: QTS or a Science‑related degree.
- Experience preparing students for GCSE exams.
- Experience supporting learners with SEN.
