Gear Grinder

About the role

Moog is seeking an experienced Gear Grinder to join its Wolverhampton manufacturing facility. You will work on high‑precision aerospace components, operating CNC gear grinding equipment and ensuring parts meet strict tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple CNC gear grinding machines and related grinding equipment.
• Perform first‑off inspections and complete required quality documentation.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, gear data, and technical specifications.
• Use precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain machine tools and ensure they are calibrated and ready for production.

Required profile

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, preferably aerospace.
• Over 5 years experience on gear cutting machines such as Kapp or Gleason.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
