General Assistant – Hatfield Leisure Centre

About the role

GLL is seeking a motivated General Assistant to support daily operations at Hatfield Leisure Centre. You will play a key part in delivering a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for visitors, helping to ensure every guest enjoys a high‑quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist with bookings.
• Prepare areas and equipment for events and activities.
• Carry out routine monitoring and basic maintenance of equipment, reporting faults to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the centre.
• Support security, supervision, and equipment checks during events.
• Promote the facility to retain existing users and attract new participants.

Required profile

• Can‑do attitude with a strong focus on customer service.
• Calm under pressure, reliable, punctual and flexible.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse people.
• First Aid at Work certification (preferred).
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

• First Aid at Work certification (if held).
