General Builder / Carpenter – Subcontractor (London & Surrounding)

About the role

We are expanding our reinstatement team and need an experienced General Builder/Carpenter to deliver high‑quality repairs on private residential properties affected by fire, water or impact damage across London and surrounding counties.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reinstatement works following fire, flood and impact damage.
• Perform first and second fix carpentry, plasterboarding, studwork, flooring, door and skirting installation, and other general building tasks.
• Undertake kitchen and bathroom reinstatement (advantageous).
• Liaise professionally with homeowners, loss adjusters and project managers.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety requirements.
• Complete work to Cantily’s high standards with accuracy and attention to detail.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Strong experience in domestic reinstatement or general building.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
• Good communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
