General Cleaner

About the role

We are looking for a reliable General Cleaner to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across our offices, laboratories, reception, restaurant and conference facilities. Reporting to the Mechanical Services Manager, you will follow a detailed cleaning schedule and ensure all areas are tidy, hygienic and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Clean toilet areas according to the cleaning schedule.
• Empty office bins and dispose of waste in designated collection points.
• Polish and vacuum corridors, office spaces, desks and cabinets as required.
• Polish brass door fixtures.
• Check cleaning cupboards weekly, restock supplies and keep cupboards orderly.
• Order additional cleaning supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards, including COSHH regulations.
• Follow all security processes and procedures.
• Perform any additional duties requested by the Department Manager to support efficient operations.

Required profile

• Ability to follow a detailed cleaning schedule and work independently.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental regulations, especially COSHH.
• Willingness to comply with security protocols.
• Flexibility to undertake other tasks as directed by management.
