General Labourer & Retail Shop Fitter (CSCS Card)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated General Labourer / Retail Shop Fitter to join an established retail‑interior installation business in Tewkesbury. The role is ideal for candidates holding a Green CSCS card, a full UK driving licence and who are keen to develop their fitting skills in a dynamic, shift‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install retail equipment and shop fittings according to client specifications.
• Load, unload and secure products for transit and on‑site use.
• Interpret technical diagrams and design drawings, and carry out site surveys.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for each job.
• Work both independently and as part of a team of fitters and contractors.
• Travel when required, including occasional overseas assignments.

Required profile

• Valid Green CSCS card.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 9 points).
• Current passport and willingness to travel abroad.
• Ability to work varied shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements for installations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
• Experience as a fitter, installer, shop fitter or general labourer.

• Hourly rate of £15‑£17 plus night‑shift bonus and overtime (1.5× after 12 weeks).
