General Loss Adjuster

About the role

Working within the General Property team, you will manage property claims ranging from minor damage up to £100,000 in value. The position is home‑based with regular travel across South London and the Southern Home Counties, supporting valued clients by handling and settling a mixed caseload of commercial and domestic property claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of property claims up to £100,000, investigating each case with tact and accuracy.
• Establish facts, verify policy details, and work towards fair resolutions.
• Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout each claim’s lifecycle.
• Travel within the assigned South London/Southern Home Counties region, including occasional overnight stays.
• Provide proactive communication with policyholders and clients.

Required profile

• Previous loss adjusting experience in domestic or commercial property claims.
• Self‑motivated and able to work from a home base while meeting SLAs and KPIs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Progression towards professional qualifications such as CertCILA, DipCILA, ACII or ACILA is beneficial.
