General Maintenance Operative (Electrical Bias)

About the role

We are seeking an electrically‑focused General Maintenance Operative to join a small team responsible for four high‑specification floors in a new commercial development near Liverpool Street, London. The role is hands‑on, involving both planned and reactive work to keep the building’s services running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and general building‑fabric PPM and reactive tasks.
• Perform small‑works and repairs across lighting, power and other services.
• Log work and ensure compliance using CAFM systems such as IFS or the client platform.
• Respond to out‑of‑hours call‑outs, earning overtime as required.
• Collaborate with a teammate and on‑site supervisor to maintain building performance.

Required profile

• Experience in electrical maintenance within commercial environments.
• Hands‑on, practical approach with a strong sense of ownership.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety standards and safe working systems.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Bonus: experience on new builds or high‑end office spaces.
