General Manager – Automotive Dealership

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees a multi‑department automotive operation in Gloucester. You will be responsible for overall business performance, team development and shaping the strategic direction of the dealership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations across sales, aftersales and parts departments.
• Take full accountability for financial performance and profitability.
• Coach and develop leadership teams to meet commercial targets.
• Create and implement growth strategies to increase revenue and market share.
• Produce accurate forecasts, reports and performance updates.
• Drive exceptional customer satisfaction across all touchpoints.
• Ensure compliance with company, manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Analyse business data to identify opportunities and resolve challenges.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a General Manager within the motor trade.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Proven track record of managing financial performance and delivering growth.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
