General Manager – Logistics Operations

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for a high‑performing General Manager to lead a key logistics operation in North London. Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for delivering service excellence across the customer network while driving strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee an operation of approximately 250 staff, including warehouse, transport and health & safety leads.
• Lead and motivate teams to achieve company objectives and KPIs.
• Manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently and monitor financial performance.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with other department leaders to meet overall company goals.
• Handle customer queries to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Live within commuting distance of North London.
• Proven site leadership experience in a fast‑paced warehouse and transport environment.
• Track record of building, developing and engaging high‑performing teams.
• Strong commercial acumen with budget management experience.
• Customer‑focused approach and excellent communication skills.
• Data‑savvy problem solver with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
