General Manager – Manufacturing & Engineering

About the role

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with PDJ Vibro to find a General Manager for its Bletchley site in Milton Keynes. This senior position offers full ownership of a specialist manufacturing business at a pivotal growth stage, combining operational leadership with strategic commercial direction.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, margin delivery and cost control.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations with a focus on efficiency, quality and customer outcomes.
• Shape and execute the commercial growth strategy alongside the Managing Director.
• Drive continuous improvement across production throughput.
• Develop, motivate and set performance standards for the team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate with the wider SurfacePrep UK group to maximise cross‑selling opportunities and share best practice.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing, engineering or capital equipment.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership and ability to drive commercial performance.
• Balanced operational delivery with strategic thinking.
• Strong people‑leadership credibility and ability to lead from the front.
• Experience in quality, compliance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
