General Manager / Sales Director

About the role

Reporting to the Chairman, this senior position offers full P&L responsibility and the chance to shape the commercial future of a market‑leading sensor and control systems business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s commercial and new product development (NPD) strategy.
• Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities across BMS, HVAC, sensors and control systems.
• Drive sales, marketing and business development activities to meet profit and growth targets.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring operational excellence and customer focus.
• Maintain full P&L oversight and report performance to the Chairman.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a commercial/general manager in a technology‑focused business.
• Strong communicator with leadership skills capable of delivering commercial results.
• Track record of growing a dynamic business in a fast‑moving, price‑ and quality‑sensitive sector.
• Personal credibility, vision, drive and enthusiasm.
