General Manager – Site Operations & Profitability

About the role

Our client in Taplow is looking for an experienced General Manager to take full ownership of the site’s performance, profitability and strategic direction. You will lead the Paint & Body Centre, ensuring operational excellence while delivering measurable commercial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies to maximise sales of parts, labour, paint, materials and related services.
• Maintain agreed profit margins and ROI by efficiently managing stock, assets and all financial transactions.
• Drive the Body Shop to consistently meet and exceed commercial and customer‑service targets.
• Ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction are achieved and sustained.
• Lead the site to industry‑leading process‑efficiency standards.
• Guarantee full compliance with company policies, manufacturer agreements and industry regulations.
• Oversee quality‑management and audit processes across the site.
• Provide strong leadership to the Paint & Body Centre team and embed an effective quality‑management system.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operations leader in an automotive/body‑shop environment.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting profit and sales targets.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Good knowledge of industry regulations and manufacturer agreements.
