General Manager, Viber Pay

About the role

Rakuten Viber is expanding its embedded payments offering, Viber Pay, and seeks a General Manager to own the full profit and loss, drive user growth, and lead market expansion. This senior leader will shape strategy, build high‑performing teams, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Own Viber Pay P&L, setting revenue, cost, and key business metric targets.
• Define and execute growth strategy for user acquisition, product development, and market entry.
• Lead a cross‑functional organization spanning product, engineering, marketing, data, and business development.
• Report directly to the Viber CEO and serve as a member of the Viber executive team.
• Manage relationships with regulatory and compliance partners to secure market approvals.
• Collaborate with design, DevOps, architecture, legal, and finance to deliver outcomes.

Required profile

• 10+ years leading a neo‑bank, B2C consumer banking app, or standalone fintech product.
• Full P&L ownership experience with proven business outcomes.
• Track record of building and scaling high‑performing, engaged teams.
• Demonstrated ability to create payment habits in a B2C financial product.
• Data‑driven mindset: define metrics, analyze funnels, and prioritize based on insights.
