General Operative – Aggregate Site Operations

About the role

We are seeking a motivated General Operative to join our Shoreham Wharf site, supporting the safe and efficient handling of aggregate materials from ship to customers. The role involves working with both fixed and mobile plant equipment in a dynamic, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate fixed and mobile plant machinery on the aggregate site.
• Manage weighbridge operations and record material movements.
• Handle loading and unloading of aggregate from vessels to trucks.
• Collaborate with the site team to meet production targets and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any faults promptly.

Required profile

• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in a similar industry or as a mobile plant operator is advantageous.
