General Operative – Repairs & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable General Operative to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. This hands‑on position combines practical maintenance work with a strong focus on customer service, supporting the upkeep of residential properties across our portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mould washes and maintain a clean environment.
• Install fixtures such as curtains, blinds and door handles.
• Perform painting and decorating tasks to a high standard.
• Fix leaking waste pipes and undertake minor plumbing repairs.
• Replace light bulbs and test smoke alarms.
• Assist with cleaning and waste collection duties, with training provided.
• Work collaboratively with the Repairs and Maintenance team, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents.

• £38,202.50 per annum, permanent full‑time contract.
