General Sales Manager – Automotive Retail

About the role

We are seeking a General Sales Manager to lead our Toyota dealership in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be responsible for delivering an industry‑leading buying experience, driving sales performance, and motivating a growing sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with customers, communicate effectively and exceed expectations.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring swift resolution.
• Support daily sales operations: customer contact, sales‑funnel management, deal building, vehicle preparation and stock control.
• Drive the sales process to meet monthly KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration and add‑on products.
• Accurately complete paperwork, produce sales reports and forecasts.
• Ensure comprehensive collection of customer and vehicle data in line with FCA obligations.

Required profile

• Current or former sales manager, sales controller or retail manager seeking a new challenge.
• Proven track record of delivering profitable results and high customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership, management and a winning mentality.
• Passion for the automotive brand; motor‑trade experience preferred but not essential (full training provided).
