General Teaching Assistant – September Start (Tottenham)

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Tottenham, Haringey is looking for a dedicated General Teaching Assistant to start in September. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils across the classroom on whole‑class, small‑group and occasional 1:1 basis.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Help pupils stay engaged and make progress with their learning.
• Promote children’s social, emotional and academic development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to an inclusive atmosphere.
• Assist with classroom management and daily school routines.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
