Generator Engineer – Remote (Full‑time)

About the role

POWERPRO (UK) LIMITED is seeking a Generator Engineer to join its remote engineering team. The successful candidate will install, commission and maintain generator systems for a diverse client base across the United Kingdom, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and perform routine inspections of generator equipment.
• Diagnose faults, carry out testing and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare clear service reports and advise clients on optimal usage and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, support project planning and contribute technical input for system upgrades.
• Occasionally travel to client sites for hands‑on work, training or inspections.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of generator systems and power generation equipment.
• Proven experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault‑finding on mechanical and electrical components.
• Understanding of safety regulations, industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manufacturer documentation.
• Effective communication of technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working remotely using digital collaboration tools.
• Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship (electrical, mechanical or power engineering).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
