Generic Housing Officer – Permanent – Central London

About the role
This permanent position offers a hybrid working model (two days onsite) at the client’s head office near King’s Cross. You will manage a portfolio of around 300 housing units across Bexley, Brent, Haringey, Croydon, Surbiton and parts of Kent, delivering high‑quality service to residents.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional estate and facilities services to residents across various tenures.
- Conduct estate inspections, grade communal areas and follow up on corrective actions.
- Manage service charges, ensuring value for money and quality of services.
- Chase rent arrears and represent the client in court when necessary.
- Tackle anti‑social behaviour and maintain safe, pleasant communal environments.
- Monitor agents’ contractual compliance and quality of work.
- Oversee financial costs of property management and scrutinise service charges.
Required profile
- Experience in regulated social housing management.
- Good understanding of housing legislation, health and safety, and working with vulnerable people.
- Ability to think independently, solve problems creatively and work collaboratively with residents, agencies and contractors.

- Salary of £42,000 per annum.
