Geoenvironmental Engineer – Gloucester

About the role

This position is with a well‑established ground engineering consultancy based in Gloucester. You will work on a variety of contaminated land and ground investigation projects across the UK, combining site‑based activities with office‑based reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ground investigations and site works.
• Conduct soil and groundwater sampling.
• Log soils and rock to current standards.
• Manage site contractors and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Prepare factual and interpretative geoenvironmental reports.
• Carry out contaminated land and risk assessments.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulators.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in a geoenvironmental or contaminated land consultancy.
• Experience supervising site investigations.
• Strong report‑writing ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop professionally.
