Geography & Religious Education Teacher (Full‑time Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to hire a qualified Geography and Religious Education teacher for a one‑year fixed‑term position starting September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils across both subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons in Geography and RE for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learners of varying abilities.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development and wider school activities.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Geography and RE in a secondary school setting.
• Confidence teaching both subjects up to GCSE level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
