Geography & Religious Education Teacher (Full‑Time Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with an ambitious secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to hire a dedicated Geography and Religious Education teacher. This full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term role starts in September 2026 and covers Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography and RE lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Contribute to departmental and wider school activities.
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve excellent outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Geography and RE in a secondary school.
• Confidence teaching both subjects up to GCSE level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
