Geography & Religious Education Teacher (KS3-4)

About the role

We are partnering with an ambitious secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to hire a dedicated Geography and Religious Education teacher for a full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term role starting September 2026. The successful candidate will teach Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and support academic progress.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver differentiated lessons in Geography and RE for KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, monitor and report on student achievement, providing constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum development and wider school activities.
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve excellent outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Geography and RE in a secondary school setting.
• Confidence to teach both subjects up to GCSE level.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
