About the role

Join a dynamic network of schools in Middlesbrough as a Geography Teacher, delivering engaging KS3 and KS4 lessons with the option to work across full‑time, part‑time or flexible contracts. You will bring both physical and human geography to life, supporting diverse learners in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous).
• Teach a broad, balanced Geography curriculum.
• Bring physical and human geography to life through real‑world learning.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive, well‑managed classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with departments and senior leaders.
• Support pupils with additional needs where required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – or strong FE Geography teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography education.
• Adaptable, proactive, and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
