Geography Teacher – Full-time, September Start in Leeds

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a forward‑thinking secondary school in Leeds to recruit a passionate Geography teacher for a September 2026 start. This full‑time, long‑term position offers the chance to inspire students about the physical and human world while contributing to a supportive, ambitious school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons for KS3 and KS4 across a range of abilities.
• Promote exploration of physical geography, human geography, global challenges and sustainability.
• Track student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discussion and critical thinking.
• Contribute to wider school life through fieldwork, enrichment activities and extracurricular projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Genuine passion for helping students understand the world.

• Curriculum planning and delivery for secondary Geography.
• Assessment and feedback techniques.
