Geography Teacher – Full‑Time Long‑Term Placement

About the role

We are partnering with a ‘Good’ Ofsted‑rated secondary school in Cambridgeshire to hire an enthusiastic Geography Teacher for a full‑time, long‑term placement starting September 2026. The school offers a supportive culture and strong academic standards, and the role sits within a welcoming Humanities department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, covering both physical and human geography.
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and promote independent learning.
• Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and lesson design for secondary geography.
• Assessment and progress tracking.
• Use of educational resources to support physical and human geography topics.
