About the role
We are seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to join our school in Bournemouth. You will deliver engaging lessons that bring both physical and human geography to life for GCSE students.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned Geography lessons covering ecosystems, urbanisation, climate change and tectonic processes.
- Assess, track and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Support pupils in achieving their GCSE targets.
- Organise and lead field trips and extracurricular geography activities.
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Geography or a related discipline.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for geography education.
- Ability to inspire and manage classroom learning effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
- Willingness to participate in school life beyond classroom teaching.
