Geography Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Newham, London. The role is permanent and full‑time, starting in September, and involves teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the possibility to support Key Stage 5.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and prepare learning activities that inspire a love of geography.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
• Promote high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Participate fully in the wider life of the school.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
• Collaborative, proactive team player with high expectations for achievement, behaviour and attendance.
