Geography Teacher – September 2026 (Full‑time, 1 term)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Preston for a full‑time, one‑term contract starting September 2026. You will work within a supportive multi‑academy trust, delivering engaging lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback aligned with curriculum expectations.
• Inspire curiosity about the world and support learners of varying abilities.
• Monitor progress, record data and intervene to improve outcomes.
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold high standards of behaviour and learning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (early‑career teachers and experienced staff welcome).
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
• Passion for geography and ability to motivate students.
