Geography Tutor – Flexible Full‑time Role

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Geography Tutors to join a Grade 1 Ofsted‑rated school in Central London, starting September 2026. The position offers flexible working, combining remote support with on‑site sessions, and involves mentoring students aged 11‑18 on a 1:1, 1:2 or 1:3 basis.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate pupils to improve attainment and participation in Geography.
• Develop and implement personalised action plans for each learner.
• Work closely with school staff to select students for mentoring.
• Provide academic support both inside and outside the classroom.
• Conduct occasional home visits and liaise with parents, social workers and educational psychologists.
• Assist pupils with transitions to secondary education and build confidence and self‑esteem.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Geography or a qualified Geography teacher.
• Passion for working with young people and supporting diverse learning needs.
• Experience as a mentor, tutor or teacher in a school or private tuition setting.
• Willingness to take on a role with reduced administrative responsibilities compared with full‑time teaching.
