Geotechnical Engineer – Glasgow

About the role

A fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established ground engineering consultancy in Glasgow. You will work on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, commercial and residential projects across Scotland while expanding your technical and site‑based experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise ground investigations.
• Log soil and rock samples to BS5930 standards.
• Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
• Carry out geotechnical analysis and provide foundation recommendations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and subcontractors.
• Manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 2‑5 years’ experience in a geotechnical or ground‑investigation consultancy.
• Experience supervising ground investigations and interpreting conditions.
• Strong geotechnical reporting ability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
