German Customer Service Coordinator – Hybrid (Wigan)

About the role

Our client, an established multinational based in Wigan, is seeking a fluent German‑English speaker to join their international Customer Service team. Reporting to the team leader, you will act as the primary representative for all customer communication, delivering high‑quality service and support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of service across all business areas.
• Assist in order fulfilment activities, including taking orders, providing information, determining delivery dates and selecting appropriate shipping methods and rates.
• Liaise with internal departments to continuously improve processing and delivery times of customer orders.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints and enquiries promptly and accurately.
• Provide timely solutions that match customer needs, working closely with them to define requirements.
• Manage and resolve conflicts when expectations cannot be met, with minimal input from line and sales managers.

Required profile

• Fluency in spoken and written German and English.
• Excellent telephone manner in both languages when dealing with customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing workload and occasional additional hours.
• Organised and proactive, capable of prioritising and handling multiple situations simultaneously.
• Previous commercial/office experience at B2B level and proven customer‑facing experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems and databases.
• Must hold a full UK work permit.
