German‑Speaking Technical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a German‑speaking Technical Engineer to join our UK team and support our German subsidiary and customers. Based in Lewes, you will provide on‑site and remote assistance for passenger information equipment, travelling regularly to our Wuppertal office and customer sites across Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line technical support in German and English via phone, email and on‑site visits.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and networking issues affecting vehicle‑based passenger information systems.
• Lead system integration projects from consultation through hardware selection, software implementation and vehicle installation.
• Conduct site evaluations, retrofits and technical investigations at customer and OEM locations.
• Create and manage media content and databases for onboard equipment.
• Provide technical training to customers, partners and internal teams.
• Produce accurate technical documentation and maintain support records.
• Collaborate with UK Technical Manager, German Sales Manager and cross‑functional colleagues.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent experience in electronics, software or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in technical support for complex hardware and software systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
