Global Data Governance Senior Manager – Head of Data (London)

About the role

We are seeking a Global Data Governance Senior Manager to lead our Data Governance function for a leading professional services firm in Central London. Reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence, you will oversee the Data Governors Board, Data Stewardship Council and drive alignment with business priorities and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Data Governance team and wider governance community.
• Develop and embed governance frameworks, data quality standards and integration processes across a multi‑national environment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with partners, senior executives and C‑suite leaders.
• Lead complex change programmes covering governance, quality, integration and data initiatives.
• Travel globally to the United States, Europe and the Far East as required.

Required profile

• Significant senior data leadership experience in a heavily regulated, partnership‑based firm.
• Proven track record of delivering strategic change and influencing C‑suite or partner‑level stakeholders.
• Hands‑on technical background that has evolved into strategic leadership.
• Strong commercial judgement and delivery‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of AI and automation programmes applied to data governance.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
