Global Export Sales Director

About the role

The International Sales Director will own the international P&L and lead the export expansion of a leading construction products company. Based at the UK head office, you will drive sales growth across multiple territories, implement a specification‑led strategy and travel regularly to support distributors and develop new market capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive export sales growth and achieve P&L targets.
• Recruit, develop and lead a multi‑territory export sales team.
• Appoint and manage high‑calibre distributors, improving service levels and forecasting accuracy.
• Strengthen collaboration between international sales, manufacturing and engineering functions.
• Conduct regular international travel to support partners and build in‑market specification sales capability.

Required profile

• Significant sales experience in passive fire protection or broader construction products.
• Proven success managing international distributor networks across multiple territories.
• Strong understanding of specification‑led selling to architects, consultants and major projects.
• Experience leading and developing multi‑territory export or international sales teams.
• Commercially astute with solid business acumen and financial discipline.
• Process‑oriented approach to forecasting, reporting and operational management.
• Collaborative leadership style with excellent relationship‑building skills.
