Global Head of Commodities Technology

About the role

Citi is seeking a Global Head of Commodities Technology to lead the technology strategy for its worldwide commodities business. This senior position will shape the roadmap for platforms that support financing and physical trading of commodities, driving efficiency and innovation across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with commodities business leaders to define and execute a technology strategy that fuels growth, market share expansion, and new product development.
• Make critical investment decisions and prioritize the technology book of work.
• Oversee delivery of robust, scalable, high‑performance solutions, ensuring strong architecture, quality and resiliency.
• Lead a globally distributed team of technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning and high performance.
• Attract, develop and retain top engineering talent to build a high‑performing technology organization.

Required profile

• Significant experience in financial services technology, preferably in commodities or trading environments.
• Proven senior leadership experience managing large, global technology teams.
• Strong understanding of platform architecture, risk management and operational resilience.
• Track record of influencing business strategy and delivering large‑scale technology programmes.
