GLP Study Director – Environmental Fate

About the role

Join a leading scientific organisation in Devon as a GLP Study Director, overseeing high‑quality environmental fate studies for global pharmaceutical, agro‑chemical and chemical clients. You will manage projects from set‑up through to final reporting, ensuring compliance with OECD guidelines and delivering results on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GLP‑compliant environmental fate studies in line with regulatory standards.
• Act as the primary contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee all study phases, from sample preparation to final report delivery.
• Prepare, review and approve study plans, SOPs and technical reports.
• Support client visits, inspections and external audits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
• Maintain technical expertise through continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Degree (BSc, MSc or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Proven experience as a GLP Study Director or running OECD environmental fate studies.
• Practical understanding of computer system validation and data‑integrity principles.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
