GMP Production Chemist – Bristol

About the role

We are partnering with a leading biotechnology company to recruit a GMP Production Chemist based in Bristol, UK. The role focuses on manufacturing products under strict GMP standards while supporting process improvements and new manufacturing implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture products in accordance with GMP requirements and approved procedures.
• Prepare, operate and maintain production equipment used during manufacturing activities.
• Complete batch records, logbooks and other manufacturing documentation accurately and promptly.
• Ensure all production activities comply with GMP, health and safety, and quality standards.
• Support investigation of deviations, non‑conformances and production‑related issues.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Perform equipment cleaning, preparation and routine checks following approved procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality, QC and internal teams to meet production schedules.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Previous experience in GMP manufacturing, preferably within biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and controlled manufacturing processes.
• Experience completing batch records and GMP documentation.
• Currently residing in Bristol.
